Desk of the Month – December ’22

To kick off the first DOTM at TDV, we have a beautiful and clean productive workspace by Dryden Nagtalon (IG @dryden.nagtalon). The dark wall and accessories contrasted with the adjacent white wall and decor really makes this a unique setup. The dark wooden desk really works well to pull everything together.

Dryden is rocking a classic 2 vertical monitor setup with a light bar on top the monitor. The Gigabyte 34″ Ultra-Wide Curved Monitor ($370) on the bottom is used as a primary monitor for max productivity but also rocks a 144hz refresh rate for gaming when needed. The monitor is a couple years old already and if you’re looking for a multi-purpose monitor that can be used for both editing and gaming at a cheaper price, I would suggest the LG UltraGear QHD 34-Inch Curved Gaming Monitor ($299).

Dryden is also rocking a pair of Edifier R1700BTs Bookshelf Speakers ($180) which really match the vibe of his entire setup. The wooden trim matches his desk perfectly. You can’t really go wrong with any of the Edifier bookshelf speaker models as they offer solid sound and features for the price, so if you’re looking to save a few dollars and don’t mind some wires, you can check out the R1280T ($120) model.

For audio input, he’s rocking a Blue Yeti USB Microphone ($85) which is one of the most popular microphone for general use (streaming, gaming, podcasting). It’s a great all-around mic that will provide great audio quality for anything, especially for the price.

Overall, Dryden keeps his workspace simple. He doesn’t overcrowd it with unnecessary accessories and just has what is necessary to keep him productive. This is the key to a clean, minimal, and functional workspace. Well done!
